There are two genres that always get grouped as one, however only one is worthy of respect in my book.
Punk-pop & pop-punk

I agree, although I thought it was the opposite. Since “punk” is the modifier in “punk-pop”, I always saw it as pop with some watered-down punk influences. I agree that they’re different, but I always thought “pop-punk” was the ‘true’ name (if only from a grammatical perspective).
